Reviewing Procedure
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the Economics, Business, Management, & Accounting Journal (Ebisma) undergo a blind peer review process. Neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other’s identities. This process is designed to ensure the academic rigor, originality, and ethical integrity of all published articles. After initial editorial screening for suitability and plagiarism, manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the field. The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations and the overall quality of the paper.
Basic Principles for Reviewers
- Confidentiality – Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share or discuss them with others.
- Objectivity and Fairness – Reviews should be conducted objectively and provide constructive criticism without personal bias.
- Timeliness – Reviewers are expected to submit their evaluations within the agreed timeframe (typically 2–4 weeks).
- Conflict of Interest – Any potential conflict of interest (such as personal, professional, or financial connections) must be disclosed to the editor.
- Ethical Standards – Reviewers should report suspected plagiarism, data fabrication, or other unethical research behavior.
Guidelines for Reviewers
Reviewers are requested to evaluate manuscripts according to the following criteria to maintain the quality and credibility of the journal:
- Title and Abstract: Assess whether the title reflects the content accurately and the abstract summarizes the key points effectively.
- Originality and Relevance: Evaluate if the study presents novel ideas and makes a significant contribution to the fields of economics, business, management, or accounting.
- Literature Review: Determine whether the literature review is current, relevant, and demonstrates a clear research gap.
- Methodology: Check the clarity, appropriateness, and reliability of research design, data collection, and analytical methods.
- Results and Discussion: Ensure that findings are presented logically, interpreted appropriately, and supported by data and literature.
- Conclusion and Implications: Confirm that conclusions align with the results and that practical and theoretical implications are well stated.
- References and Formatting: Examine if references are relevant, accurate, and adhere to the journal’s citation style.
- Language and Presentation: Assess the clarity, coherence, and overall readability of the manuscript.
Make a Recommendation
After reviewing the manuscript, reviewers should make one of the following recommendations:
- Accept without revision – The paper meets all publication standards and requires no changes.
- Accept with minor revisions – Only small improvements (such as grammar or clarity) are needed.
- Revise and resubmit (major revisions) – The paper has potential but requires substantial improvement in theory, method, or structure.
- Reject – The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or falls outside its scope.
Reviewers should provide clear, constructive, and respectful comments to help authors improve their manuscripts. Each recommendation must be supported by specific justifications or observations from the review.
Reviewer Acknowledgment
